Today we’ve got something a little different. A guy found Adam’s Catwoman & Black Cat piece online, and really liked it. Liked it enough, that he wanted a duplicate of it-- keep Black Cat, and have her just the same, but instead of Catwoman, add Black Widow and Spider-Woman. It was an interesting challenge, particularly in perfectly recreating the image from before (which is often like catching lightning in a bottle the first time around) and also in dealing with the new paper we’re using. We got a snazzy printer that lets us print our roughs directly onto blue-line Bristol, but only takes up to 2-ply boards. We had gotten used to the nicer 3-ply, smooth finish stuff, and the new paper isn’t as nice with ink. It would tend to bleed and disrupt the smoothness of the lines, making inking (already a difficult task) even more difficult. Ultimately, though, it turned out pretty nice. You probably won’t even notice the trouble, if we hadn’t pointed out it was there. When it was done, we realized it would be a perfect choice for this week’s T&A Thursday. Enjoy! Until next time- Adam & Comfort
